How long should I stay?
The bare minimum if you quickly want to see the highlights would be 4 days but if you are looking to relax and enjoy the island I would suggest 1 to 2 weeks.

What is the best time to visit?
High season (late December, January, July and August)
Warm and sunny days (not as hot as in April and May) perfect for the beach. Sometimes it rains a little.
Shoulder season (February, March, April, May, June, September and early December)
Shoulder season is a good time to go to Ko Samui. Hotels are not as expensive as in High season. Most days are sunny perfect for the beach. April and May are the sunniest and driest months of the year.
Low season (October/November)
During low season there is allot of rain. The rainforest will be lush and green and hotels drop in price. You still have a chance on sunny days.
